A funeral facility with one cremator with an area of 1,240 square meters may is planned to be built on the territory of the Kurgan complex in Kazan. The project has passed the state examination and received a positive finding. This was announced at the Business Monday meeting by Marat Ishkin, Head of the Department for the Organization of Funeral Services.

According to him, the estimated cost of the project is about 250 million rubles. The Executive Committee of Kazan received a request to build a crematorium under a public-private partnership.

Also, 19 million rubles were allocated from the budget of the republic of Tatarstan for the construction of a Jewish religious cemetery on a plot of 9.9 hectares on the Mamadyshsky Tract. The contractor has already carried out work on the vertical layout of the site, as well as construction of two administrative buildings.
