Over six billion rubles have been allocated for the roads repair prior the BRICS Games and the BRICS Summit

<p> In Kazan, 29 sections of roads will be repaired for the BRICS Games and the BRICS Summit, five of them have already been completed. More than 6 billion rubles have been allocated for these purposes. In total, 16.3 billion rubles will be allocated from the republican and federal budgets for the development and repair of the road network of the city in 2024, Deputy head of the Executive Committee Igor Kulyazhev reported at the Business Monday meeting. </p> <p> “Under various programs, more than 16 billion rubles have been allocated this year for our roads. Despite the weather, the work is underway. Some of them will be completed by the BRICS Games, some by the summit,”- said Rustem Gafarov, head of the Executive Committee. </p> <p> The first international event, the BRICS Games, will take place on 12-23 June. By this time, eight sections of roads will be repaired in the city. Work has already been completed on three of them – on local driveways along Pobedy Ave. along the Tennis Academy, the Burevestnik Sports Complex and the Boxing and Table Tennis Center. Work is underway on five more sites: on Syrtlanova and Garifyanov streets, along Pobedy Ave. from Syrtlanova Street to Zorge Street, in the parking lot in front of the Central Stadium and near Tatneft Arena. The total readiness of all facilities is more than 50%. </p> <p> Roads have been repaired by 24% for the BRICS summit, which will take place in Kazan in October. It is planned to renovate 21 sections of roads. Preparatory work is underway on 14 of them. On Yershova Street and Khadi Taktash Street, they have already been completed. Work is underway on Karl Marx Street (from Baturina Street to Teatralnaya Street), Chistopolskaya, Pravobulachnaya, Levo-Bulachnaya Streets and Millennium Bridge. </p>
