At the first section of the Voznesensky tract, the construction of an interchange on Gvardeyskaya Street completed by 20%

In Kazan, construction of the first stage of the Voznesensky tract is underway on the section from Gvardeyskaya Street to Pobedy Avenue with a 4 km length. Preparation work has been completed, in particular, the removal of utilities, the construction of two tunnel-type over crossings, as well as three underground pedestrian crossings is underway. Today, the Mayor of Kazan Ilsur Metshin inspected the progress of construction work during the tour of road infrastructure facilities and reported that all work is carried out according to schedule. Roman Fatkhutdinov, the head of the administration of the Sovetsky district, also took part in the tour.

Construction of the first section of the Voznesensky tract started last summer. According to the project, the length of the road from Gvardeyskaya St. to Pobedy Avenue will be 4 km and 13-17 meters wide with three lanes in each direction. The project provides for the creation of bike paths, storm drains, and sidewalks with width of 2.2-4.5 m. During the preparatory work, the builders provided for relief roads on Pobedy Ave. with a length of 1.2 km and on Gvardeyskaya St. with a length of 890 m, along which traffic is now organized.

“This will be the fifth outbound highway, very important for residents, which will alleviate the traffic, - the head of the city noted. - Along with new road, we will get a new development of the district, we will renovate industrial sites, a new residential area with a landscaped territory and park areas will develop here”.

Deputy head of the Executive Committee Igor Kulyazhev reported the Mayor of Kazan that 240 people and 66 vehicles are involved at the facility every day. At the intersection of the highway with Gvardeyskaya Street, where the meeting took place, the construction of the over crossing was completed by 20%. At the intersection of the highway with Pobedy Avenue, the work was completed by 25%, Igor Kulyazhev said. It is planned to complete their construction in September, after which traffic will be launched in a test mode along Gvardeyskaya Street and Pobedy Ave.

To date, a bridge has been built across the railway and the over crossing is being built, Igor Kulyazhev noted. Concrete works have been carried out at two underground passages on Bukharskaya St. and Rodina St. Pile driving is being completed at another underground passage, the deputy head of the Executive Committee added.

The first stage of the construction of the Voznesensky Tract is planned to be completed in 2023. The new road will allow relieving the Mamadyshsky tract, as well as alleviate traffic issues in the villages of Voznesenskoye, Bolshye Klyki, Samosyrovo, Salmachi, Privolny, Vishnevka, Vesna and Svetlaya Dolina residential complexes.

In addition, the construction of the highway served provided for the development of the territory with a total area of 293 hectares in the Sovetsky district within the boundaries of Rodina, Daurskaya, Gvardeyskaya and Adel Kutuya streets.
