The reconstruction of treatment facilities and reclamation of sludge pits of biological sewage treatment facilities will be carried out in Kazan.
Within the framework of the national project “Ecology”, more than 6 billion rubles are provided for the Volga river restoration in Tatarstan for 2020 and the 2021-2022 planning period, including 5.1 billion rubles from the Russian budget. Fayaz Shakirov, first Deputy Minister of ecology and natural resources – Tatarstan chief state inspector of environmental protection, reported today at a briefing at the Cabinet of Ministers of Tatarstan.
4.6 billion rubles will be allocated to reduce the share of polluted waste water derived to the Volga river. Construction and installation works of total value 1.6 billion are already in process at 8 sites in Kazan, Tetyushi, the village of Krasny Bor (Agryzsky district), Zainsk, Alekseevsky district, Yelabuga, Vasilievo and Nizhny Vyazovye of Zelenodolsky municipal district. Next year, reconstruction is planned at five sites of the Republic, 884 million rubles are provided for this, the speaker said.
1.7 billion rubles have been allocated for Elimination of environmental damage, posing a threat to the Volga river, including 1.3 billion rubles from the Russian budget. On the territory of Tatarstan, it is planned to eliminate two sites of accumulated damage: the reclamation of sludge pits of biological sewage treatment facilities in Kazan and the dismantling of inactive pipelines of the lacustrine oil field at the Nizhnekamsk water reservoir. 4.5 billion rubles are provided for this until 2024.
F.Shakirov also noted that the work is being carried out in the areas of “Reducing the negative impact of sunken ships”, “Preserving unique water bodies” and others.
