A series of “Yard Cinema” will be presented on the embankment of the Kaban Lake

Another movie screening will collect films on the topic of teenage gangs.

(KZN.RU, August 2). Another open-air movie screening will be held on the embankment of the Kaban Lake on August 4. The audience will see the series of “Yard Cinema”, which are lined in a transitional format from documentary to gaming.

The graduation work of Marina Razbezhkina under the title “What’s in your yard?” will open the film selection. The picture created in the Soviet era touches on the theme of teenage gangs, gopniks, and informal associations. Marina Razbezhkina was born in Kazan, had a grade in philology, worked as a teacher, journalist, and then a scriptwriter at the Kazan newsreel studio. Becoming a famous documentarist, she continues to teach in the studio and support new movies.

The second film of the program belongs to the beginning author from Kazan Amir Saliyanov. The movie “The Lost Way” has already brought a lot of prizes to him. In addition to the Shukshinsky Festival, the film participated in the contests “Koroche”, “Artkino”, and “Svyataya Anna”. At the festival “Artkino”, the novice film director received a prize for “Best Regional Film”. Kazan actors play in the film. The story is built on a criminal context and asks the viewer a question, without requiring an immediate answer. Director Amir Salyanov will present his film to the audience this evening.

The series will end with the story of Maria Polyakova “Journey to Paris”. It is based on communication with workers and wards of the colony; in many respects, it is a documentary work. Almaz Zagrutdinov, the selector of the X International Youth Film Festival in Kazan, will present the film.

In general, the movie screening will be devoted to the point of view that considers the Kazan phenomenon as a fait accompli and confirms the ability of the cinema to speak about it rigidly without the romanticization of cruelty. The degree of tension increases from the first film to the final one. All movies have age limits, they are for viewers no younger than 18 years, reports the press service of the directorate “Time of Cinema”.
