1,800 athletes from 56 regions of Russia have taken part at the Ironstar Timerman Cup in Kazan

Among the participants were Kazan vice-mayor, the chief of staff of the Executive Committee, the Chair of the Sports Committee and the head of the Vakhitovsky and Privolzhsky districts.

1,800 athletes from 56 regions and 155 cities of the country took part at the Ironstar Timerman Cup, which was held in Kazan on June 17 and 18. The competitions were held as part of the Russian Triathlon Championship in the middle distance.

Ilsur Metshin, the Mayor of Kazan, noted that the city is honored to host various sports events. “The athletes with great experience in participation in this type competitions worldwide took part at the Ironstar Timerman Cup. They highly appreciated the organization of the competitions in Kazan and noted the picturesque sites and the well–coordinated work of city departments,”- the Mayor stressed.

At the Ironstar Timerman Cup, athletes of different levels came to the start to try out at each of the three stages: swimming, cycling and running. Among the participants were employees of the Executive Committee of Kazan: Denis Kalinkin, First Deputy Head of the Kazan Municipality, Marat Zakirov, head of the administration of the Vakhitovsky and Privolzhsky districts, Bulat Aleyev, the chief of staff of the Executive Committee and Albert Salikhov, Chair of the Sports Committee. I. Metshin congratulated his colleagues on good finishing positions.
