20 start-up entrepreneurs will be able to obtain 300 thousand rubles each for the development of projects in urban economy.
This year, a competition will be held for the first time in Kazan for grant support for startup entrepreneurs in the field of urban economy development. Twenty winners will be selected, each of whom will be able to receive up to 300 thousand rubles for the implementation of projects. This was announced today at the Business Monday by Ildar Shakirov, deputy head of the Executive Committee of the city.
Last year, grant support from the city budget was provided to self-employed residents of Kazan. Today, when this measure is being implemented at the republican level by the Ministry of Economy of Tatarstan, the municipality has redirected funds to a grant competition for startup developers in the field of urban economy. The competition will be held on the initiative of the Mayor of the city Ilsur Metshin.
“It is most difficult for startup developers to find financial support now – said I.Shakirov. – We decided to provide them with 20 grants of 300 thousand rubles on a competitive basis for projects aimed at improving the urban economy".
In addition, at the request of representatives of small and medium-sized businesses, it was decided to allocate additional funds to subsidize the costs of certification of goods and services of small and medium-sized businesses.
“It is important for entrepreneurs who need certification of goods, but lack of money for this”, - explained I.Shakirov.
Competitions for grant support for startups and subsidizing the costs of certification for entrepreneurs are planned to be announced in August.
Grant support will allow entrepreneurs not only to start business, but also to implement useful initiatives for the city, said the head of the Executive Committee Rustem Gafarov.
