On July 6, guests will be introduced to the regional dishes of the “football menu” from the best chefs of Russia in the Gorky Park.

(KZN.RU, July 3). On July 6, Kazan will host a street-food festival “Welcome Foodball Cup”, timed to the World Cup-2018. A gastronomic holiday will unfold in the Gorky Central Park of Culture and Leisure. The team of the mobile festival of the Russian regions cuisine “Welcome Foodball Cup” will introduce the citizens of Kazan and the guests of the championship to the regional dishes of the “football menu” from the best chefs of Russia. You can try the Moscow kalachi with fillings, Buryat buuzas, Rostov kurniki, Ossetian pies, Udmurt perepechi, Black Sea cuisine, Baltic sprat on Borodino bread, Mordovian millet pancakes “pathat”, echpechmaki.

11 regional food-trucks will be presented in different regions of the country. Mobile restaurants will work at the festival. In addition, visitors to the street-food festival will find a shop of gastronomic souvenirs, street football, picnics and 11 boilers of the first course of Russian cuisine.

The festival of street food will take guests in the Gorky Park from 10 am to 10 pm.

Welcome Foodball Cup is festival-journey under the federal brand “Gastronomic map of Russia”. From June 14 to July 15, a caravan of 11 food-trucks with the names of the football capitals Moscow, St. Petersburg, Saransk, Samara, Nizhny Novgorod, Ekaterinburg, Kaliningrad, Kazan, Volgograd, Sochi, and Rostov-on-Don will travel through the regions of the country from Moscow to the westernmost point of Russia, Kaliningrad. In just one month, mobile street food restaurants will cover a distance of 10 thousand kilometers and will present the cuisines of the Russian regions and the World Cup-2018 cities to Russian and foreign fans of the World Cup. Guests of the championships and residents of cities will be treated by a team of modern chefs, restaurateurs, and Russian food producers from Russian regions. The main goal of the festival is the popularization of gastronomic rural tours around the country, promotion of cuisine of different Russian peoples, acquaintance with Russian culture and hospitality.
