At the «Kazan for Its People» Forum, it was agreed to establish a coordinating council of humanitarian organizations

Tomorrow, during a session of the City Duma, a motion will be made to establish the Kazan Volunteer medal

At the First Humanitarian Forum «Kazan for Its People», the Mayor of the city Ilsur Metshin supported the idea of establishing a coordinating council to unite humanitarian organizations and the register of humanitarian workers in Kazan.

About 150 activists, manufacturers of goods for the special military operation, representatives of enterprises and organizations of the city, and military attended the forum.

«We will support you in this effort. I propose that we organize this process systematically and combine all efforts into a vast and beautiful ocean of support for our fighters. There are several things that we can do today», – the Mayor said to the participants.

Anna Artemyeva, a co-founder of the humanitarian movement, who has sent over 500 tons of supplies with her volunteers, suggested creating a list of trusted humanitarian organizations.

Roza Gilmurova, the director of the Nefis Charitable Foundation, spoke about the support provided to the families of deceased participants in the military operation. This year, approximately 650 tons of humanitarian assistance were sent to these families. Additionally, 34 trucks carrying humanitarian aid were shipped to new areas and evacuated residents.

«We need to establish a coordinating body that can determine priorities. It is essential to prepare and provide warm clothing before winter», – the Mayor noted.

Together with residents of Kazan, the head of the «For Victory! Kazan» movement, Evgenia Kotsar, also provides humanitarian assistance to soldiers with 80 volunteers. Over two years, they have sent more than 500 tons of cargo to the special operation area.

Evgenia has shared the idea of creating a cadet school with a swimming pool, gym, and classrooms for the children of soldiers.

«We have teen clubs in every area of the city. They are comfortable and renovated. You can conduct similar classes there. We have qualified professional teachers who work with children», – the Mayor suggested.

He also supported the proposal of Lilia Mirova, a member of the Matryoshka movement, to create a volunteer book.

Timur Yetkeyev, the founder of the Peaceful Sky Foundation, proposed creating a special award – the Kazan Volunteer Medal.

The city provided the necessary equipment and various specialized devices to the frontline: 71 vehicles, 5 electronic warfare systems of dome type, 110 collimator sights, 73 thermal imaging devices, 5 anti-drone guns, 120 rifle brackets, 25 quadrocopters, and much more. The total amount exceeded 580 million rubles.

Approximately 3,754 students receive free meals twice a day, and 1,723 children receive free preschool supervision and care. About 4,049 transportation cards have been issued for free public transportation trips, and 6,414 Batyr cards, which allow access to cultural institutions and sports venues in Kazan, have also been issued.
