Guests at the festival “Window to Spain” ate 200 servings of paella

<p> (KZN.RU, October 15, Ksenia Shvetsova). Last weekend in Kazan, the Millennium Park hosted the festival “Window to Spain”. In total, 4 thousand guests visited it, among whom were Spanish tourists. Daria Sannikova, the director of the Tourism Promotion Committee, announced it today at the Business Monday. </p> <p> </p> <p> The festival was held in the capital of Tatarstan in order to tell the citizens and guests of the city about the Spanish culture and the culture of Latin America. The site was divided into several locations: a food court, a lecture hall and a photo zone. An entertainment program on the stage welcomed the guests. At the food court, one could taste the dishes of the Spanish national cuisine from restaurants and cafes of Kazan. In addition, a free tasting of the famous Spanish paella dish was organized in the national cuisine theater. Festival visitors ate a total of 200 servings of it. Culinary master classes in Spanish cuisine, thematic master classes and lectures for adults and children, as well as free Spanish classes,  were held in the lecture hall. Every day various Kazan dance and vocal bands performed Spanish dances and songs on the stage. </p> <p> </p> <p> “A pleasant surprise was the participation in the festival of tourists from Spain, who gladly joined the dance master classes”, said D. Sannikova and added that 4000 people had participated in the event. </p> <p> </p> <p> This weekend, Kazan residents and guests of the city will have another, equally interesting event, reminded D. Sannikova. On October 20 and 21, the largest gastronomic festival of the city “Delicious Kazan” will be held on the square in front of the Palace of Culturologist. The festival’s main event will be a competition among the city’s chefs to develop a new original dish that will be designed specifically to treat the three millionth tourist of Kazan. Kazan will meet its three millionth guest on the November holidays, and Kazan citizens themselves can come up with a program for his stay in the capital of Tatarstan. </p>
