Famous Japanese guitarist Kazuhito Yamashita will perform at the festival “Classical guitar in the XXI century” in Kazan

The festival will be held in the capital of Tatarstan from March 7 to 21.

The XIII International festival “Classical guitar in the XXI century” will take place in Kazan on March 7-21. Five concerts of the festival will bring together representatives of guitar schools from Russia, France and Japan. This year, the event will culminate in a performance of the famous Japanese guitarist Kazuhito Yamashita.

The festival will open on March 7 at the Concert hall named after Salikh Saidashev, the concert will be dedicated to the International women's day. The spectators will enjoy the Russian romances and seven-string guitar. For the first time in the city, Elena Belyaeva -artistic director and conductor of the Amur chamber choir Vozrozhdenie, soloist of the Amur regional philharmonic orchestra, will perform. The concert will be attended by the famous Russian singer, honored artist of the Republic of Tatarstan Yulia Ziganshina, children's guitar orchestra of Kazan under the direction of Alexander Lavrentiyev, as well as the author and artistic director of the festival Ainur Begutov.

A festival will culminate in a concert of “Legends” series, which will take place on March 13. Kazuhito Yamashita, one of the most famous extraordinary classical guitar players in the world, will perform in Kazan. The chamber orchestra “New music” under the direction of honored artist of Tatarstan Anna Gulishambarova will participate in the concert.

On March 19, the small hall of the Kazan state Conservatory will host a concert of guitar class students and graduates - Kirill Rusinov, Artur Nikitin and the winner of the IV International contest named after S. D. Orekhov Roman Valiyev from Naberezhnye Chelny.

On March 21, the children's music school № 5 will host the gala concert with participation of young musicians from Kazan. At 17.00 a special guest of the festival – French guitarist Rémi Jousselme will perform, reports the Department of culture.

The festival “Classical guitar in the XXI century” has been held annually since 2007 with the support of the Ministry of culture of the Republic of Tatarstan and the Department of culture of Kazan. Since then, musicians from 23 countries took part in the festival, more than 60 concerts were held, which were attended by more than 24 thousand spectators.
