The renovation to the athletics arena at the Tasma stadium has been completed by 52%

Workers have expanded the stairs and window openings and updated the roof

The renovation of the athletics arena has been completed by 52%, with plans to upgrade the tracks and perform waterproofing on the foundation, as well as replace windows and doors.

According to the Committee of Physical Culture and Sports of the Kazan Executive Committee, work at the arena built in 1976 began in March. During this period, the builders expanded the staircases and are about to install metal structures. Specialists updated the windows on the right side of the arena and are finishing the expansion of the window openings on the left.

Additionally, plastering work in bathrooms, repairs to the roof, and installation of a fire hydrant were completed. Replacement of electrical networks, repair of walls and ceilings, and plumbing work is underway.

Earlier, the football and athletics arena at the Central Stadium in Kazan was renovated. In preparation for the BRICS Games, worn out tracks were removed and new ones installed, jump pits updated, markings applied, and doors replaced.
