Guests will have an opportunity to visit master classes, a tartare competition, a waiter's race and much more
A master class of chefs from the reality TV series “Cooks on Wheels” will be held at the Delicious Kazan gastro-fest. Vlad Piskunov, the brand chef of the Matryoshka restaurant, one of the most famous chefs in Moscow, the author of the books “Everything about how delicious food” and “Russian cuisine. The best of 500 years”, as well as Ilgiz Galiyev, vice-president of the Tatarstan Guild of Chefs and brand chef of the “Vartaziya” restaurant.
At the master class, the participants of the gastronomic show will prove themselves in the national Tatar cuisine. A robot dog will help the chefs, which will take out secret ingredients for dishes.
The Delicious Kazan Festival will take place on August 19 and 20 at two venues. On August 19, a gastronomic site will open at the Kazan Family Center and will work until 21:00.
A lecture hall on food habits will work from 12:00 to 17:00. Master classes with tasting dishes are scheduled for 12:00-18:00. The competition of tartares starts at 16:00.
At the tartare cooking competition, dishes will be served on a miniature railway, each on its own trailer. The best tartare will be chosen by a professional jury, which will include the winner of the Stars of Hospitality-2022 competition Artemiy Zhuravlev from the Branch&wine bar restaurant.
Fried ice cream, juice bar, Mexican tacos, Jordanian shawarma, gyros, echpochmaki, Hong Kong waffles and much more can be tasted at the festival.
Master classes will be held in the yard of the Governmental Offices from 17:00 to 19:00, at 19:00 a musical and gastronomic battle will begin between the chefs of the Chirem and Tatar restaurants under the set of DJ Bubblegum B.
On August 20, from 12:00 to 17:00, a lecture on food habits will take place at the Kazan Family Center, and from 12:00 to 18:00, master classes with tasting dishes will be held on the main stage.
At 15:00, the preparation of a secret dish will start, followed by a tasting by brand chef Vlad Piskunov, and at 16:00 the waiters' race will begin. At 18:00, the Doratti cover band will perform.
In the yard of the Governmental Offices from 17:00 to 19:00, master classes from restaurants will be held, at 19:00-21:00 - Dialogues on the couch: where to eat in Kazan. Speakers from Moscow and Kazan, such as Stanislav Slapoguzov, Director for the Development of Ginza Project, Nasiba Vafayeva, manager of the Kaspiyka restaurant and others were invited to the conversation.
A Tea Alley with a variety of sweets and 300 -liters samovars will also open here.
Guests of the festival will be able to move from one location to another along the “path of health” from the Kazan Family Center to the Kremlin.
