The city council of Kazan will join "Hour of the Earth"

The large-scale ecological action will take place on March 24.

(KZN.RU, on March 22). On March 24 the world's largest ecological action "Hour of the Earth" will take place. Traditionally the city council of Kazan will join it. The illumination of buildings of Executive Committee, a capital City hall and buildings of districts administrations of the city will be switched off for one hour.

Anyone can participate in the action –it is only necessary to switch off the lighting of living quarters, electric devices which aren't connected with safety of citizens for one hour from 20:30 till 21:30 and also to take other measures directed to decrease an electricity consumption.

Permanent participants of an action are also the memorial estate "Kazan Kremlin" and other memorable city buildings.

This year the international "Hour of the Earth",
which is the most mass ecological action on the planet, is held for the 11th
time. More than 2 billion people worldwide from more than 184 countries and
nearly 7000 cities take part in it. In Russia "Hour of the Earth" is held
since 2009, more than 20 million people take part it. Last year 150 cities of
Russia joined this action.
