The Mayor of Kazan instructed to develop a project of improvement of the yard on Chetaev Street

The issue of repairing the yards of houses №20, 22 and 24 was raised during the debate by writer Kamil Karimov.

Ilsur Metshin, the Mayor of Kazan, ordered the development of a landscaping project for the yard of houses №20, 22 and 24 on Chetaev Street and discussing it with local residents today during an inspection of the yard territory. The question of repairing the yard the day before was raised by the writer Kamil Karimov during the debates of preliminary voting for the selection of candidates for state and local government.

The debates took place yesterday at the regional executive committee of the United Russia party. Their main topic was “Culture: availability of a high-quality cultural product for residents of the republic”. Writer Kamil Karimov was among the invited cultural figures. During the conversation, he asked the Mayor a question about the landscaping of the yard on Chetaev Street. He asked where he could find the list of yards included in the overhaul program, and complained about the state of his yard. “There is a program that repairs yards in our city, there are some huge numbers... But where can we see those lists, find out when they come to our yard? We do not have this understanding”, explains Karimov. “I have been living in my house for more than 25 years, and during this time our yard has never been repaired”.

On the initiative of the residents themselves, the parking lot for 70 cars was arranged in the yard. The main claims of residents are about the condition of the asphalt concrete pavement. Because of the broken roads, not every car takes the risk of entering the yard. “The traffic police have designated the norm: the pits must be no more than 5 cm. And we have 7-12 cm”, said the writer.

Answering the question, I. Metshin noted that the list of yards is posted on the official website of the City Hall. The head of the city promised to examine the problem yard. “Kazan used to be at the critical top on the state of roads and yards. But thanks to the support of the President of the RT and the federal center, we left it”, said the Mayor. The yard territories in Kazan are being repaired gradually. They are included in the program, based primarily on the feedback and wishes of the residents themselves, he added.

Today, the head of the city held a meeting. During the meeting, he examined the problem yard and instructed Timur Alibaev, the head of the Aviastroitelny and Novo-Savinovsky districts’ administration, to develop an improvement project. He instructed to involve the management company “Uyutny Dom” to this work. The finished project should be discussed with the residents in order to take into account their wishes, marked I. Metshin.

This year it is planned to equip 296 yards in Kazan on an area of more than 300 thousand square meters. First of all, the list of yards planned for repair included the territories with the largest number of the resident population and the greatest wear of the asphalt concrete pavement. In addition, priority is given to the yards of those houses where a major overhaul was recently carried out. In general, 1885 yards will be repaired in Kazan since 2013, taking into account the current ones.

The section “Overhaul” was opened on the portal KZN.RU, where residents can find the lists of houses, schools, kindergartens and teen clubs, as well as yard territories and driveways subject to major repairs in 2019.
