The Mayor of Kazan visits the construction site of the new facility of the Municipal Unitary Enterprise “Gorodskoye blagoustroistvo” on Amirkhana Street

<p> The construction of the new facility of the Municipal Unitary Enterprise “Gorodskoye blagoustroistvo” is underway on Amirkhana Street in Kazan. The company serves the road network of the Aviastroitelny and Novo-Savinovsky city districts, as well as parts of the Kirovsky and Moskovsky districts. The area of the new location exceeds the previous one by 12,000 square meters. The expansion will allow to place the entire fleet and optimize the time for special vehicle to travel to the cleaning sites, and create more comfortable conditions for the employees. </p> <p> Closed warehouses for machinery and reagent storage, an office and household building, a repair unit and a filling station for special equipment with liquid reagent will be built on the territory with a total area of 2.4 hectares. A checkpoint has already been built, and construction of hangars is planned to begin shortly. The progress of work at the facility was inspected by the Mayor of Kazan Ilsur Metshin today. </p> <p> Municipal Unitary Enterprise “Gorodskoye blagoustroistvo” is one of the main contractors for summer and winter road maintenance. Their facility was built more than 40 years ago and no longer meets new demands of the city, which has grown significantly over the decades. The facility on Grivskaya Street could no longer accommodate the existing equipment. In addition, their area of responsibility is the Aviastroitelny and Novo–Savinovsky districts, therefore, it was decided to build a modern complex on the border of the districts, which will meet all the requirements for storage, maintenance and repairs of expensive equipment. We hope that this year we will complete the base for the winter season. This will make it possible to clean and maintain roads more efficiently,”- Ilsur Metshin said. </p> <p> The previous facility in the Kirovsky city district on Grivskaya Street is designed for 100 vehicles, while the company owns 131 specialized vehicles (dump trucks, graders, sweepers, tractors, snow loaders and other equipment). Thanks to the relocation to Amirkhana Street, the company will be able to optimize its work by reducing the distance to the serviced area. </p> <p> To date, the first stage of work has been completed – a checkpoint has been built through which the main check-in will be carried out. The building has a control room, a security point, a bathroom and a small reception. In general, more comfortable conditions will be created for employees: modern workplaces with a TV and furniture will be equipped in the control room. There will also be a separate recreation area and a small dining hall. In the future, additional buildings with beds and a large dining hall will be equipped. </p> <p> The facility has been under construction since last summer. It was originally planned to be completed by the summer of 2025. But the head of the city gave an order to speed up the process without loss of quality, so that the facility would be fully ready by winter. </p>
