The Mayor of Kazan inspected the new kindergarten for 220 children at the My Rhythm residential complex

The first out of eight preschools, which are under construction this year, is being prepared for commissioning.

The construction of kindergarten No.189 “Uspekh” for 220 kids has been completed at the My Rhythm residential complex of the Sovetsky district of Kazan. After receiving all the necessary documentation for the commissioning of the facility, it will open for young residents of the city. The preschool will consist of 12 groups, including for children with autism spectrum disorder. This is the first commissioned kindergarten out of eight preschools being built this year.

The Mayor of Kazan Ilsur Metshin inspected the new facility today. “It is very important that we are building social infrastructure alongside with residential buildings,”- the head of the city noted.

The construction of a two-storey kindergarten at the new residential area began in August last year, the contractor is OOO Neo Stroy company. All the main works on the construction of the facility and landscaping of the adjacent territory have been completed. Currently, the kindergarten is preparing to receive a statement of conformity and will welcome pupils in the near future.

The new kindergarten is located next to the multidisciplinary school No. 187 “Rhythm”, which opened last year. In addition, the nearby kindergarten “Kilachak” with 220 seats has already accepted its first pupils. In total, seven kindergartens and another school for 1501 places are planned to be built at the residential area.

The Mayor inspected the preschool institution, which is fully adapted for disabled persons. At the entrance of the kindergarten, there are ramps, as well as an elevator and a bathroom for people with disabilities.

The design of the groups differs: for example, for autistic children, rooms with plain walls without bright drawings are created. As explained by the head of the kindergarten Marina Shaidullina, who has previously worked with autistic children, this is necessary so that the kids do not have emotional outbursts.

The preschool will have groups for the development of children in different directions: speech therapy, Tatar language of education, multilingual, an engineering group, where children will study robotics from an early age, and a group for children with autism spectrum disorder. Five children are enrolled in this group – according to the standard, there can be exactly this number of kids in one group.

Two teachers, teachers-defectologists, teachers-psychologists will be engaged with autistic children. All of them have received professional training, and today they are studying at the Moscow Institute of Psychoanalysis, the head of preschool said. After completing their studies, they will become specialists in applied behavior analysis and will actively implement modern world methods in working with children focusing on the socialization of children.

Kazan does not slow down the high pace of construction of preschool institutions: for example, last year ten kindergartens were built in the capital of Tatarstan, and this year eight more preschools for 1,690 children will be built, I. Metshin reminded.
