The Mayor of Kazan discusses cooperation with the Khokim of Tashkent

The heads of the two cities exchanged experience in municipal administration

The Mayor of Kazan Ilsur Metshin met with the Khokim of Tashkent Shavkat Umurzakov at the City Hall. The heads of the two cities discussed cooperation in various areas of urban economy. The meeting was also attended by Deputy Khokim of the capital of Uzbekistan Sharaf Rakhmonov and Kazan Vice Mayor Denis Kalinkin.

Ilsur Metshin welcomed the head of Tashkent, stressing that the capital of Tatarstan is happy to share its best practices. Shavkat Umurzakov, in turn, thanked for the hospitality and expressed interest in cooperation in the improvement of public spaces, the organization of school meals, as well as the improvement of transport services.

At the end of the meeting, the parties agreed to outline areas for cooperation.

The meeting of the Mayor of Kazan with the Khokim of Tashkent took place as part of the 3rd Forum of Russian-Uzbek Interregional Cooperation.
