The commission reviewed as many as 20 projects

The Mayor of Kazan Ilsur Metshin hosted a meeting of the working group on construction of buildings in the historical center of Kazan. The participants reviewed 20 projects proposed by developers for construction in the city center. The commission approved most of the proposals and submitted them to the republican inter-departmental commission for further consideration.

Ilsiyar Tukhvatullina, the Chief Architect of Kazan, presented the concepts of the projects. The experts were introduced to the plans for the construction of a mini-hotel with seven rooms on Bolshaya Krasnaya Street. A hotel and business complex with 21 rooms was offered for the construction on Kurashova Street. A project of residential development was presented on Mazita Gafuri Street, the number of floors in this building will be variable to harmoniously blend in with the surrounding historical architecture and the Iske Tash Mosque. Another project presented was an apartment building with an unusual finish on Admiralteiskaya Street.

The working group supported most of the projects.

Further consideration of the approved projects will take place at a meeting of the interdepartmental commission on urban development in historical settlements, with the participation of the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov.
