The issues of protecting citizens and urban infrastructure in the event of external threats and terrorist attacks were discussed
Mayor Ilsur Metshin proposed to create working groups on security and anti-terrorist protection at enterprises in Kazan, to inspect all shelters, and to inform residents about them at a meeting of the city anti-terrorist commission. Deputy Head of the Executive Committee Iskander Giniyatullin, Head of the Kazan Department of Internal Affairs Nadir Zakirov, Chairman of the Transport Committee Alexey Sidorov, Head of the Department of Culture Azat Abzalov made reports on ensuring the safety of residents.
“The issue of the safety of the city and residents is crucial nowadays. No one needs to be reminded of the tragic events that happened in the Crocus City Hall, as well as the recent drone attacks that occurred in the industrial zone Alabuga and Nizhnekamsk. I propose to create working groups at every enterprise on transport, housing and communal services, in cultural and sports institutions, the same have been created in district administrations. Every head of an organization should have a clear understanding of actions in a given situation,”- Ilsur Metshin said.
Comprehensive attention is paid to the security of citizens in the capital of the republic. However, in connection with the recent tragic events, it is necessary to introduce new preventive measures to minimize the consequences, the mayor believes. In case of emergency situations, it is necessary to prevent residents from panicking and ensure their safety.
“We have always paid systematic attention to security issues, today the situation has changed dramatically. As they say, trust the God and keep your powder dry. We need to analyze our work to ensure the safety of residents in the event of a critical situation,”- the head of the city said. Positive results can be achieved only if citizens are informed about the ways and means of protection.
Shelters should be prepared at the city's facilities in case of emergencies, it is necessary to establish the work of the citizens' alerting system, the Mayor noted.
