Literary evenings with karaoke, choreography and kickboxing classes –children from the Belgorod region spend their time at the Molodezhny camp

About 300 children arrived at the camp in early April – today they were visited by the Governor of the region Vyacheslav Gladkov

In early April, 293 children from the Belgorod region arrived at the Molodezhny children's health camp, located in the village of Berezovka in the Vysokogorsky district of Tatarstan. They live in the new buildings of the camp, which was renovated in 2020.

A dining room with 200 seats in a separate building, a bath and laundry complex, three summer houses, a creativity area, a club, two sports grounds and a dance area, as well as a summer veranda are available for guests, there is also a room for people with disabilities. Today, the children were visited by the Governor of the Belgorod region Vyacheslav Gladkov, he got acquainted with the conditions that have been created for the children.

The Molodezhny camp is home to children and teenagers aged 5 to 17 years old – four to six people each in rooms located in three three-storey buildings.

“A wonderful place: a pine forest, amazing nature, fresh air, very nice new modern rooms with balconies. We remember the camps from our childhood, and realize that our children have completely different opportunities. I am very grateful to the leadership of the republic and the administration of Kazan for their attention to children,”- Vyacheslav Gladkov said.

The children's day at the camp begins with a warmup outdoors, where they perform the anthems of Russia and Tatarstan. The counselors announce the program for the day, after which the children start having breakfast in two shifts. In their free time before school, which starts at 10:00, children can relax, most play football, basketball or volleyball, sing songs, dance or just walk around the camp.

Vyacheslav Gladkov interested about food and treatment in the camp, as well as activities. There is a medical center on the territory, a dining room with 200 seats is located in a separate building. Children are provided with five meals a day. The guys told the governor about their favorite dishes: cheesecakes, cutlets, mashed potatoes and pasta. The head of the region asked the camp management to add more vegetables and fruits to the menu.

“We often play volleyball, sometimes football. Counselors often join us. They also come up with different games and events for us. For example, recently in a scene I played a role in the image of Dmitry Nagiyev. I liked it very much. I would also like to visit the Kazan Kremlin, the big museums of the city,”- Yegor Semernin from the village of Maisky in the Belgorod region shared his desire.

The counselors have already prepared a program for the evenings, which includes quests, games and prepared theatrical performances with camp activists. At literary meetings, children read poetry, watch movies and even sing karaoke. A long-awaited event for everyone, of course, is the disco, which is organized every other day. Specially invited DJs perform at them.

“Here you have the opportunity to get to know each other, make new friends, see what a big country it is, taste the local cuisine, see the sights of Tatarstan. Your parents miss you a little, but I will return to Belgorod and send regards to them,”- the Governor addressed the children at the end of the meeting.
