Kystyburgers and fried ice cream: guests and residents of Kazan can try the city's taste in the Millennium Park

About 60 cafes, restaurants, and farmers take part in the festival “Delicious Kazan”.

(KZN.RU, May 12, Ekaterina Vislavskaya). Original dishes, eco-sweets, and farm products are offered to Kazan citizens for two days, 12 and 13 of May, in the Millennium Park. Today the opening of the festival “Delicious Kazan” was held there.

For the third year, the festival is taking place on a new site. In 2016 it was the Staro-Tatarskaya Sloboda, in 2017 – the territory of the Family Center “Kazan”. This time the Millennium Park was chosen as the venue. A spacious ground in the very center of the city became some sort of a fan zone of the “Final Four” of the Champions Volleyball League.

“Everyone can find something interesting and tasty for themselves here. It is important that you can stay here until the evening and just eat, have fun, relax. I wish everyone an excellent mood”, said Daria Sannikova, the director of the Committee of Tourism Development of the Kazan Executive Committee, at the official opening.

Vladimir Leonov, the minister of Youth Affairs and Sports of the RT, and Zufar Gayazov, the chairman of the Board of the Association of Restaurateurs and Hoteliers of Kazan and Tatarstan, also took part in the ceremony.

There are wooden kiosks on the avenues of the park, in which 46 catering establishments presented their best dishes. You can find the usual sandwiches, shish kebabs, coffee, sweets, pilaf, dumplings, pizza, and salads. Also, there are original dishes, for example, burgers with falafel or pineapple, fried ice cream.

For the duration of the festival, the Millennium Park was divided into several thematic areas. There is a farm fair next to the numerous pavilions of cafes and restaurants. More than a dozen producers sell bread, meat semi-finished products, dairy products, and cheeses.

During the festival, the voting for the title “The most delicious restaurant of the city” is held. The results will be announced on May 13 at noon. In addition, there are culinary master classes and lectures on the stage one after another. There is a children's playground with a trampoline and master classes on the green lawn.
