A festive concert was held near the stadium “Kazan Arena”.
(KZN.RU, May 9, Alena Miroshnichenko). The intensive program of celebrating the 74th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War in the capital of Tatarstan continued in the evening in the territory in front of the stadium “Kazan Arena”. A gala concert and performance of the choir “Singing Kazan” took place there. The highlight of the holiday was the Victory salute.
The festive program began with a performance by the band “Volga-Volga”. The artists performed both popular songs in the original arrangement, and original compositions that have already been loved by the audience.
During the concert, photos of Heroes of the Soviet Union, residents of Kazan who forged the Great Victory back in 1945 were showed on the facade of the “Kazan Arena”. At that time, artists of the State Chamber Choir of the RT, a student choir “Singing Kazan”, as well as soloists, including the winners of the Republican contest “Sozvezdie”, performed on the stage. In wartime, the song helped the soldiers to believe and win, so the concert program was mainly devoted to patriotic compositions. Thus, the following compositions were performed: “Tugan Yak”, “Love, Komsomol, and Spring”, “Katyusha”, “Horse”, “Motherland”, “Victory Day”, as well as the modern popular composition “Sansara”.
From the very beginning of the concert program, the venue turned into a dance floor. Citizens were happy to sing and dance to bright, cheerful songs. Schoolchildren, students, young couples, families, as well as elder viewers sang along with artists. The lyrics were broadcasted on the facade of the arena as karaoke.
The highlight of the holiday was a festive salute. Smiles did not leave the faces of the citizens not only because of the colorful fireworks, but also because of the atmosphere of unity and patriotism of Victory Day.
