Many surprises await Kazan citizens on the weekend: the book festival, multi-therapy and fireworks on the embankment

The KZN.RU portal publishes a weekly event poster for the weekend.

(KZN.RU, December 7). Only a few days are left until the New Year. The first garlands and Christmas trees are lit in Kazan, skating rinks are made, children write letters to Ded Moroz, and adults prepare gifts. It is important not to get bored while waiting for the most long-awaited holiday. The KZN.RU portal publishes a weekly event poster for the weekend. It will tell where to find Ded Moroz's secret chamber, listen to classical music, buy Christmas decorations, listen to writers' lectures, and much more.

A holiday in the Zoo

December 8 at 12 pm

The Zoo celebrates its 212th birthday. In honor of the holiday, a children's entertainment program awaits young visitors in the zoo-learning school classroom.

The program of the event includes a quiz, a win-win zoo-lottery, animators, a master class in drawing, and children will be able to ride a pony in warm weather. The culmination of the holiday will be a birthday cake.

The opening of the “Fairytale Town” on the Kremlin Embankment

December 8 at 6 pm

A lot of surprises were prepared for the citizens as part of the festive opening of the “Fairytale Town” on the Kremlin Embankment. On an opening day, the lights of the Christmas tree will be turned on and the fireworks will be launched.

Residents and guests of the city could visit the secret chambers of Ded Moroz, and the good elves will teach them to play musical instruments.

The Town will work on weekdays from 4 pm to 10 pm, on weekends from 12 am to 11 pm.

The Charity New Year's Fair “Miracle Shop”

December 8 at 11 am

The first Moscow New Year charity fair “Miracle Shop”, organized by the Kirovsky and Moskovsky districts’ administration and the organization “Good Kazan”, will be held at the CC “Moskovsky”.

At the fair, you can purchase Christmas decorations, warm and cozy knitwear, woodwork, paintings, and much more. Also, interesting workshops and entertainment will be organized for everyone.

All funds raised will go to help children in need.

The admission is free.

The opening of the skating rink in the park “Chernoe Ozero”

December 8 from 1 pm to 10 pm

Although the official opening of the skating rink in the park “Chernoe Ozero” is scheduled for December 14, it will work in technical mode from Saturday.

Those who wish can rent skates. 250 pairs of skates have been bought especially for the opening of the winter season. The entrance to the rink with your own skates is free.

A concert of the viola, cello and double bass

December 8 at 5 pm

Students of the Kazan Conservatory will delight the audience with a concert of viola, cello and double bass. Young musicians will perform works by Russian, Tatar, and foreign composers.

The concert will be held in the small hall of the Kazan Conservatory (Bolshaya Krasnaya Street, №38).

The admission is free.

Excursions in the Museum of the Kazan Chemical School

December 8 at 9 am and at 11 am

Guided tours will be held on Saturday at the Museum of Kazan Chemical School, which celebrates its 155th anniversary on December 9. The museum carefully preserved interiors, unique collections of chemicals and utensils, books and manuscripts.

The Winter Book Festival at CCC “Smena”

December 8-9, from 13.00 to 22.00

On Saturday the Winter Book Festival starts at CCC “Smena” in the capital of Tatarstan, for the tenth time, (Shakhidi Street, №7). Thousands of books at low prices, high-quality intellectual literature, lectures of famous cultural and scientific figures, family workshops, excursions, concerts and much more will wait for the citizens.

A single entrance ticket for 2 days costs 100 rubles, the admission is free for children under 7 years of age.

The weekend in the eco-center “Dom”

December 8 and 9 at 11 am

Kazan's most active and creative mothers will help Kazan citizens have a fun and useful weekend. They will hold workshops for soap-making and modeling, psychological conversations, multi-therapy classes, acquaintance with musical instruments, and much more for visitors to the eco-center.

To participate in master classes, pre-registration is required by the number +7 (917) 8958485. Participants will be able to take finished products with them.

The participation is free.

The New Year's Fair on the Kremlin Embankment

December 9 from 12 pm to 10 pm

The New Year's Fair on the Kremlin Embankment will gather around the central Christmas tree cute houses with gifts, souvenirs and sweets.

Kazan citizens will be able to send a letter to their families and friends, buy felt boots, handmade cosmetics, figurines, Christmas decorations, postcards, gift baskets, eat sweets, and much more.
