Neimar mentioned in Instagram the new Kazan public art with his image

An art object with the image of a famous football player appeared in the center of Kazan to the arrival of the Brazilian national team.

A new art object depicting a talented player appeared on the school building next to the hotel where the Brazilian team will stop. Representatives of the creative association “Supernova” took part in the project. They also drew the image of another football player, Lionel Messi, near the hotel “Ramada”. Work on a new art object began yesterday. To be in time for the arrival of the football player, three artists worked on his portrait all night and used 40-50 balloons of paint.

To make the image more interesting and different from the public art of Messi and Ronaldo, it was made more figurative and voluminous. “The portraits of Messi and Ronaldo consist of geometric figures, polygons. They are stylized and somewhat simplified, which allows using more daring color solutions”, said Sergey Akramov, one of the artists. He also told reporters that it was more difficult to draw Neimar. “He is more figurative, we had to fashion a shape with light-and-shade that takes more time and is slightly more difficult, easier to make a mistake and less freedom”. The area of the picture is the same as that of Messi and Ronaldo, two floors, approximately 6 meters.

According to the idea of the artists, the portrait of Neimar was given a gray-blue tint so that it would be more in harmony with the color of the walls. A bright spot is the yellow-green background of the drawing under the color of the Brazilian flag.

Zhanna Belitskaya. the deputy head of the Department of Architecture and Urban Development and the head of the Department of Urban Design, noted that we pay attention to the city when depicting famous players. “We want people to visit Kazan and learn about it in the future. Five days passed after the public art appeared in the city with the image of Messi, and so many reports have been scattered about this all over the world”.

Kazan citizens could see the new public art in the course of an open excursion that will be held tomorrow at 2 pm.

Neimar was one of the first to evaluate the work of Kazan artists. He took a picture of the image from the window of his suite and published in “stories” in his Instagram, which audience is 98.4 million subscribers.

On the eve of the match between Argentina and France, the building next door to the hotel “Ramada” was decorated with the image of Lionel Messi. In addition to the graffiti of the legendary Argentinian footballer, facades of Kazan buildings are also decorated with portraits of Cristiano Ronaldo, Ruslan Kambolov, a defender of the Rubin team, and Igor Netto, a Spartak’s midfielder.
