Kazan athletes won four medals at the Russian Diving Cup

The tournament brought together more than 200 athletes, including Olympic medalists

Athletes from Kazan won four medals at the Russian Diving Cup in Saratov. The competition brought together more than 200 athletes from all over the country, including Olympic and European champions.

At the start of the tournament, Nikita Schleicher took the first place in the three-meter springboard. His result is 480.6 points. The silver medal went to Yevgeny Kuznetsov (460.4), the bronze to Ilya Molchanov (447.25).

On the second day of the competition, Nikita Schleicher and Alexander Belyavtsev took second place in synchronized diving from a ten-meter tower. In the final, the athletes scored 412.77 points, losing gold to Ruslan Ternov and Alexander Bondar (441.84). Arkady Aidarov and Sandro Rogava took the third place (374.61).

Maria Polyakova became the bronze medalist of the competition. According to the results of the three-meter springboard diving, she scored 285.6 points. Elizaveta Kuzina won gold (324,6), Ulyana Klyueva won silver (288,15).

Nikita Schleicher, Alexander Belyavtsev and Maria Polyakova are trainees of the Syntez Sports Complex in Kazan.

The competitions for the Russian Cup are held from January 31 to February 4. Athletes compete in individual, synchronized and mixed diving. A total of 12 sets of awards will be awarded, the Russian Diving Federation reported.
