On October 27, 20 countries and 60 regions of Russia will hold an educational event “Tatarcha Diktant”.
(KZN.RU, October 11). On October 27, the educational campaign on literacy testing in the Tatar language “Tatarcha Diktant” will be held around the world. Kazan residents will also be able to join it. The Kazan Federal University will be the main site for writing dictation.
“Tatarcha Diktant” will be held in 20 countries and 60 regions of the Russian Federation. For the first time, the dictation will be written in Rostov-on-Don, Kaliningrad, Khanty-Mansiysk, and Yamalo-Nenets autonomous districts, Udmurtia, Mordovia, Ulyanovsk, Penza, Sakhalin, Kemerovo, Kirov, Nizhny Novgorod regions, the Republic of Tyva, Chuvashia, as well as in Canada, Turkey, USA, Lithuania, France, Austria, Belarus, Italy, Great Britain, and Bulgaria. This year districts and cities of Tatarstan will join the action.
In Kazan, “Tatarcha Diktant” will be written in universities, schools, libraries: the KSMU, the KSEU, the VRSAPCST, the KSAVM named after N. Bauman, the Kazan State Conservatory named after N. Zhiganov, the National Library of the RT, schools №4, №159. The main platform this year will traditionally be the Tolstoy Institute of Philology and Intercultural Communication.
In the republic, participants in the action will write an excerpt from the work of Gayaz Iskhaki, an outstanding Tatar figure, writer, journalist, publisher, and politician. In foreign countries and regions of the Russian Federation, there will be excerpts from the famous work of Abdullah Alish, a Tatar writer, author of collections of short stories for children, poems, dramatic works. Texts are in classified before the start of the action. It is worth noting that this year the republic celebrates the anniversaries of both writers: 140 years since the birth of Gayaz Iskhaki and 110 years since the birth of Abdullah Alish.
The event starts at 1 pm. At the time of writing the dictation, participants are prohibited from using mobile communications, smartphones, tablets, etc. All participants of the action are provided with the necessary writing materials. Honored artists and culture workers and other famous people will be reading the text at each educational event site, reports the press service of the World Forum for Tatar Youth.
The dictation in Tatar will be checked by philologists, professors, and doctors of philological sciences. Results are sent to the participant's email after November 10th.
The action is organized by the Executive Committee of the World Congress of Tatars, the Ministry of Youth Affairs of the RT, the World Forum of Tatar Youth, the Institute of Philology and Intercultural Communication named after Leo Tolstoy, and the Scientific and Educational Center “Kayum Nasyri Institute” of the Kazan Federal University.
