<p> (KZN.RU, July 19). Kazan citizens can take part in the international competition “MIR Prize”. Applications are accepted until September 1. The competition is designed to identify people with an active lifestyle, transmitting the ideas of good and peace. </p> <p> The Prize is a way to express appreciation and tribute to modern and future heroes, whose contribution to the cause of peace should not be ignored. The award is given in 8 nominations: </p> <p> “Good News”, awarded for coverage of good deeds and positive actions of Russian citizens; </p> <p> “Good Organization of the Year”, awarded to leaders or activists of charitable and public associations who have shown high results; </p> <p> “Health Initiative”, awarded to activists for popularizing or creating projects related to improving health and life quality; </p> <p> “Vopreki” (Rus. “In spite of”), awarded to people with physical health restrictions who are active for the benefit of society, proving the possibility of the impossible by their example; </p> <p> “Environmental Responsibility”, awarded for the implementation of projects in the field of environmental protection of the country; </p> <p> “Good Team”, awarded to corporate volunteering teams; </p> <p> “Feat”, awarded to people who have committed noble deeds; </p> <p> “People's Choice”, is awarded followed by a popular vote on the Internet, according to the press service of the Ministry of Sports of the RT. </p> <p> Eduard Khil, a Soviet and Russian singer (posthumously), Nikolay Belyaev, one of the last participants in the Reichstag taking and a public figure, Mikhail Astashov, the master of sports of Russia in sports with lesions of the musculoskeletal system, multiple champion and winner of the Russian Cup in Paratriathlon, All-Russian and district athletics competitions, and many others were the laureates at various times. </p> <p> Anyone over the age of 14 can apply for the award. Detailed information about the competition is available on the event website. The organizer is the all-Russian youth public organization “MIR” (Youth – Initiative – Development). </p>
