Kazan citizens will conquer the snow fortress on Lebyazhie Lake on farewell to winter

The holiday “Kazan Maslenitsa” will be held on February 18.

(KZN.RU, February 14). Kazan citizens can farewell to winter on Lebyazhie Lake on February 18. The organizer of the annual holiday “Kazan Maslenitsa” prepared a busy entertainment program.

The fair of handicrafts, traditional winter competitions, a concert and theatrical performance with the conquering of a snow fortress will be held on the lake. The culmination of the holiday will be the burning of the Scarecrow, which will usher in the imminent arrival of spring.

“Kazan Maslenitsa” is organized by the administration of the Kirovsky and Moskovsky districts jointly with the Kazan City Hall. Over 15 thousand people took part in festivals on the lake in 2017.

This year the Millennium Square will be the main venue for the celebration of Maslenitsa in Kazan. Sports festival will also take place in the park “Krylya Sovetov” and other areas of the city.
