<p> (KZN.RU, January 30). The total lunar eclipse will coincide with the super moon and the “blue moon” on January 31. It will be possible to observe this unique phenomenon in Kazan through a telescope in the planetarium of the Kazan Federal University. </p> <p> </p> <p> Astronomers call this the “blue bloody super moon”. The last time the earthlings could watch it in 1866, that is, 152 years ago. On January 31, the Moon will be as close to the Earth as possible (at a distance of 358.9 thousand 994 km). At the time of a full lunar eclipse, the satellite will enter the shadow of the planet and will turn red-brown due to the refraction of the sun's rays. </p> <p> </p> <p> “You can see the lunar eclipse with the naked eye provided there will be a good weather”, reports the press service of the KFU. “There will be a part of the eclipse in Tatarstan”. </p> <p> </p> <p> On this day, the planetarium of the KFU organizes a special event called “Space exploration of the moon”. Yuri Nefediev, a professor, the director of the V. Engelhardt Astronomical Observatory, will tell about the physics of lunar and solar eclipses, modern space missions and manned flights to the Moon. The participants of the meeting will watch special spherical films “Return to the Moon Forever” and “Flight to the Moon. Missions LRO and LCROSS”.
