Kazan citizens are invited to the Republican Children's Festival of Choral Art

Choirs of music and secondary schools can join the performance.

(KZN.RU, December 19). On January 13, the III Republican Children's Festival of Choral Art will be held at the Annunciation Cathedral of the Kazan Kremlin. Residents and guests of the city on this day will listen to chants on the holiday of the Nativity of Christ. Choirs of music and secondary schools can join the performance.

The festival program includes several hymns dedicated to Christmas: troparion, contakion, glorification, hymn of light, carols, chants of the All-night vigil and liturgy of Russian and Soviet composers.

“The festival is held for the third time. It has already become traditional for Kazan and has gone beyond the capital, covering many cities of the republic”, said Priest Konstantin Kolyganov, the head of the Department of Culture of the Kazan diocese. He mentioned the Easter Festival and the festival dedicated to the Day of Slavic Literature among the events that the Diocese regularly holds.

Children's choirs of music and secondary schools with participants from 7 to 15 years old can join the performance. Applications for participation are accepted by phone 8-953-496-00-14.

The entrance to the festival is free, the beginning is scheduled for 12 pm.
