Kazan citizens are invited to the Day of G. Tukay Street

The holiday will take place in the museum of the Tatar poet, in the yard of the museum, and on Yunusovskaya Square.

(KZN.RU, May 17). On May 18, the Day of G. Tukay Street will take place in the Staro-Tatarskaya Sloboda for the first time in Kazan. Visitors can attend sightseeing tours, thematic master classes, performances of musical and theatrical bands.

Events will be held in three locations. The holiday will begin at 1 pm on a new stage in the yard of the Tatar poet’s museum (G. Tukay Street, №74). From 1 pm to 2 pm, a female jazz band “Fantasia” will perform on the summer stage. From 2 pm to 3 pm, there will be a literary performance by actors of the Tatar State Academic Theater named after Kamal. From 3 pm to 4 pm, guests of the festival will see performances by artists of the club “Ilhamiyat” of the Tatar State Philharmonia named after G. Tukay.

The second festive location will be Yunusovskaya Square. At 10 am, a bike tour “Tukay Yuly” starts there. You can sign up for a bike tour by phone 8-917-871-13-68. At noon, a walking tour “From Ekaterininskaya to Tukay Street” will begin on the square. Pre-registration is by phone: 8-987-205-61-36. Also, from 12.pm, master classes and lessons for children will be held on Yunusovskaya Square, which will continue until 5 pm. From 12.30 pm to 2 pm, the literary yard “Shigri Misgeller” will open. Throughout the holiday, a free exchange of books “Tukai&Knigovorot”, a mobile photo workshop, book, souvenirs and Tatar national dishes selling will be organized on Yunusovskaya Square.

At noon, a poetic excursion will begin in the literary museum of G.Tukay. At 1 pm, museum visitors will be able to take part in the quest “G. Tukay and theater”. At 2 pm,, guests of the festival can attend the museum lesson “What I remember about myself” and at 3 pm, the interactive lecture “History of G. Tukay Street”. At 4 pm, the intellectual quiz “I ♥ Tukay” will begin. At 5 pm, an excursion will be held on a new exposition of the museum with a robot-guide “Tukainy bergelep oirenik”. At 6 pm, Kazan citizens are invited to the interactive program “Tea Party at the House of Shamil”.

On the holiday, general and thematic excursions will be held in the museum of G. Tukay on the day of the holiday and a calligraphic workshop will operate, reports the Prefecture “Stary Gorod”.
