New tour in the footsteps of "Tom Sawyer Fest" will be offered to the residents and tourists of Kazan

<p> A new tourist route "Charm of the old streets" will appear in Kazan. Residents and visitors of Kazan will have a chance to follow in the footsteps of "Tom Sawyer Fest" - festival of restoration of the historical environment and get acquainted with the results of its four years activities in Kazan. Today, the route was attended by the representatives of the local media. </p> <p> The press tour started from the house where the restore work is currently being completed, the wooden venue of the cultural heritage– Bogorodsky house on Volkov street, 42. According to the architect Ekaterina Yeremina, this is the only existing "Chalet style" building in Kazan. </p> <p> It should be noted that the residents of many houses repaired with the help of "Tom Sawyer fest" are really interested in the history of these buildings, as well as care about their safety. </p> <p> One of the venues of "Tom Sawyer fest" is located on Ulyanov-Lenin street, 16-Pechnikov house. This is the house from which the history of the movement in Kazan began. Particular attention of tourists in this tour will pay to the cornices and window frames, which have an important semantic value in the architecture of buildings of XIX-XX centuries. It should also be noted that in 2018 the house was recognized as a venue of cultural significance. </p> <p> While traveling in the wake of the historical environment restoration festival, tourists will be offered to visit the house of Philipson on Lesgaft str., 19, house of N.Troytsky on Kalinin street, 4, apartment building of the early twentieth century on Kalinin str., 12, house of Sh. Faizullin on Tukay str., 33, merchant house of Zalushev on Sara Sadykova str., 14 and the house of A. I. Jante on Dostoevsky str., 12. </p> <p> The route "Charm of the old streets" will finish at Berkutov house on Fatykh Karim str., 11, which was restored this year. It should be noted that volunteers from France and the famous singer Andrei Makarevich also took part in restoration works at this venue. It is assumed that the new route will be carried out both on foot and by bus. </p>
