Gimran Abdullin joined the Russian national team
Gimran Abdullin, a student of the Kazan Boarding School № 2, takes part in the 36th International Olympiad of Informatics. More than 350 children from 90 countries came to Egypt for the competition.
The Russian team also includes Moscow school students Daria Grekova, Ivan Piskarev and Pyotr Losev. Over the course of two rounds lasting five hours each, participants must get three algorithmic sums.
Throughout the school year, students and teachers prepared for the Olympiad, as well as attended several classes at the Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology. To help the members of the Russian national team in planning their time effectively, psychological training sessions were conducted.
The competitions will take place on September 1-8. The International Olympiad of Informatics is a computer science competition for schoolchildren that has been held annually since 1989. Winning this competition gives participants the opportunity to enroll in any university worldwide.
