Kazan Sabantuy will be celebrated on four sites

On June 23, guests of the holiday are invited to Mirny, Derbyshki, the equestrian complex “Kazan”, and the Lebyazhie Lake.

(KZN.RU, June 6). On June 23, Kazan will celebrate the Tatar national holiday Sabantuy. Festive events will be held at four city sites, the main of which will be the “Beresovaya Roscha” in Mirny. Residents and guests of the capital of Tatarstan could attend a busy program with folk festivals, fun, creative master classes, a fair of handicrafts, and sports.

The concert program will take place at several festive sites of “Beresovaya Roscha”. Artists, new pop stars, as well as the best creative teams of Kazan and Tatarstan will perform for the audience.

Everyone will be able to take part in sports competitions such as sack fight, log, running with buckets, in bags, with an egg, as well as tug-of-war, fighting pots, lifting weights, arm-wrestling, and strongman competitions. One of the most prominent events of Sabantuy will be the competition of the national fight Kuresh. The strongest and most agile participants will receive memorable souvenirs and prizes.

In the improvised rural farmsteads, guests will acquaint with the life of the Tatar people and craftsmen of decorative and applied arts. Traditionally, a playground with attractions will work during the day, interactive games with animators and various competitions will also be organized for young visitors. Creative master classes, face paint, pony and horse riding are waiting for children.

The beginning of the holiday in “Beresovaya Roscha” is at 9.30 am.

At the same time, folk festivals will be held in Derbyshki and on Lebyazhie Lake. A concert program has been prepared for residents and guests of the capital, where artists of the RT will perform. National competitions will be held on the sports grounds, and separate playgrounds with entertainment programs will be organized for children. Also, the rural farmsteads will be set, reflecting the culture and way of life of the Tatar people.

From 2.30 pm, spectacular competitions will be held in the international equestrian complex “Kazan”. Residents and guests of the capital will become spectators of races and a festive concert of Tatar pop stars. An exhibition will be organized in the hall of the main tribune complex of the Hippodrome, reports the Department of Culture of the Executive Committee.
