Expert of the International Association of Athletics Federations will come to Kazan in April.
(KZN.RU, March 29). "Kazan Marathon" can receive the certificate of the International Association of Athletics Federations (IAAF). Examination of compliance with IAAF / AIMS requirements is scheduled for April.
AIMS is the Association of international marathons and runs. It is a part of IAAF and is involved in the measurement and certification of marathons on the highway, the development of standards for their organization, the criteria for providng doping control. The procedure for measuring and evaluating the route of the “Kazan Marathon” for compliance with international regulations and standards will be held in mid-April. For this purpose, Sergey Mikhailovsky, the official IAAF measurer in Russia, will arrive in Kazan. The IAAF / AIMS certificate allows official fixing the records established during the Kazan Marathon.
Recall, the race will be held in Kazan on May 20. Participation is chargeable, the collected funds will be transferred to the development of the family hotel "Ronald McDonald's House" in the territory of the Children's Republican Clinical Hospital. According to the organizers' forecasts, 10 thousand people will take part in it. Registration takes place on the website of the event, where you can find additional information and regulations on the marathon.
"This year the route of the marathon will be even faster and more dynamic. The route traditionally passes through the historical center of Kazan, near the Kremlin walls, and again we decided to make it in one lap ", - said the organizer of the race Vadim Yangirov. According to him, this is the competitive advantage of the Kazan Marathon - athletes don’t run several laps on the same route, but only one on the city’s sights background.
In the future organizers plan to be the first in Russia who will get the "labels" of the International Association of Athletics Federations. "We decided to move in a given vector by stages, and to get an international road certificate, which will automatically makes us members of the amateur IAAF / AIMS marathons,"- explains Vadim Yangirov. To date, there are three such quality marks - bronze, silver and gold. They are awarded for the high level of the race organization e, the accuracy of the route, the quality of medical care.
