The competition in Baku was attended by teams from 88 countries.
(KZN.RU, August 9). A student of the Kazan school named after N. Lobachevsky, 11-grader Ildar Gainullin won the gold medal at the International Olympiad in Informatics. According to the results of the competition, he scored 511.22 points, losing only to the American Benjamin Chi.
The Olympiad consisted of two rounds, during which the participants demonstrated various skills in computer science and performed algorithmic tasks.
The Russian team with Ildar Gainullin won four gold medals and first place in the team event.
The 31st International Informatics Olympiad IOI is held in Azerbaijan. Teams from 88 countries take part in the competition. In addition to Ildar Gainullin, Russia is represented by Alexander Morozov (St. Petersburg), Vladimir Romanov (Moscow) and Egor Lifar (Moscow) this year.
The closing ceremony of the Olympiad will be held on August 10, reports the press service of the Ministry of Education and Science of the RT.
