Children from 80 countries participate in an intellectual competition in Baku.
(KZN.RU, August 7). Kazan school student Ildar Gainullin participates in the International Olympiad in Informatics as part of the Russian team. It is taking place in Azerbaijan these days. Representatives of 80 countries of the world gathered in Baku; each team includes no more than four participants.
Ildar Gainullin, a student at the school named after Lobachevsky of the KFU, is the absolute winner of many tournaments. Over the past year alone, he took first places at the All-Russian Olympiad in Informatics, the International Olympiad in Informatics Romanian master of Informatics, the Open Olympiad of the Innopolis University for Programming, at the International Programming Olympiad “TekhnoJubok”, and others.
The Russian team at the International Olympiad in Baku included three more students from Moscow and St. Petersburg.
The children will have to pass tests in two rounds and demonstrate their skills in computer science by completing six algorithmic tasks.
In 2018, the Russian team won four medals at the XXX International Olympiad in Informatics, which was held in the Japanese city of Tsukuba. Russian students received two gold and two silver awards. Then, one of the gold medals was won by Ramazan Rakhmatullin, another student of the Kazan school named after Lobachevsky, reports the Ministry of Education and Science of the RT.
