The Kazan Kremlin entered the top 3 tourist sites of UNESCO World Heritage Site in Russia

The top 10 also included the Moscow Kremlin and the Red Square and the historical center of St. Petersburg.

(KZN.RU, October 25). The Kazan Kremlin is among the top 3 tourist sites of UNESCO World Heritage Site in Russia. The rating of UNESCO World Heritage Sites in Russia is based on an analysis of their attendance by tourists.

The UNESCO top 10 also included the Moscow Kremlin and the Red Square, the historical center of St. Petersburg and a group of monuments, the Kazan Kremlin historical and architectural complex, the white-stone monuments of Vladimir and Suzdal, the architectural ensemble of the Trinity-Sergius Lavra in Sergiev Posad of the Moscow Oblast, the historical center of Yaroslavl, historical monuments of Veliky Novgorod and its environs, the Kizh parish in Karelia, the ensemble of the Ferapontov Monastery in the Vologda Oblast, and the historical and cultural complex of the Solovetsky Islands in the Arkhangelsk Oblast.

In total, 2.7 million tourists visited the Kazan Kremlin last year, reminds TourStat.
