Kazan Airport became the winner of the Air Gate of Russia Award

The airport served a record 5.1 million passengers

Kazan Airport became the winner of the Russian Air Gate Award in the nomination Best Airport-2023 in the category 2 - 6 million passengers per year. The award ceremony took place in Moscow as part of the National Exhibition of Civil Aviation Infrastructure NAIS-2024.

In 2023, the airport served a record 5,168,000 passengers, which is 28.6% more than a year earlier. It also became the leader in passenger traffic among the airports of the Volga Federal District.

“The record number of passengers is the result of the work carried out to expand the route network and increase the number of flights to existing destinations,”- the Press Office of the Kazan airport reports.

For reference, direct flights from Kazan to Perm have recently been launched. In April, flights to Kemerovo will be launched.
