Kazan experts of pre-retirement age will be able to pass training in WorldSkills standards

Free education will allow citizens to strengthen their position in the labor market.

(KZN.RU, April 10). Kazan residents are invited to take part in a vocational training program for people of pre-retirement age. Free WorldSkills education will help professionals aged 58-60 years (men) and 53-55 years (women) strengthen their position in the labor market. The program is implemented within the framework of the federal project “Older Generation” of the national project “Demography” with the support of the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the RF.

Participants will be able to improve their professional qualifications and extend their active professional life or master a new craft. You can choose from programs on 116 competencies in the field of information technology, engineering and production, construction, services, creativity and design, transport and logistics, and education that are in demand in the labor market.

To participate in the program, you need to register on the project website and get tested. It will help to determine the future professional path. The tests take into account the features of specialists of mature age.

Training in WorldSkills standards will be held on the basis of educational institutions that have passed the qualifying selection of WorldSkills Russia Academy. The most extensive network of regional sites is formed according to the results of the selection. In Kazan, 15 educational institutions are ready to accept older students in 26 competencies. Duration and training schedule will depend on the chosen competence.

In addition, each graduate will receive a Skills Passport, which confirms the level of professional competence in accordance with WorldSkills standards and is also recognized by the country's leading employers.

The Union “Young Professionals WorldSkills Russia” reports that a pilot launch of a vocational training program and additional professional education for Russians of pre-retirement age according to WorldSkills standards took place in mid-March. 18 educational organizations from 7 regions of Russia attended the test. Currently, 37 people have already received Skills Passport, 412 continue their education.

The “Skills of the Wise” championship final will be held in the framework of the WorldSkills national championship, which will be held in Kazan from 20 to 24 of May. 391 professionals over 50 years old will participate in it. Competitions will be held on 26 competencies. According to the rules, working professionals who have achieved high results in their work activities, teachers of educational institutions, as well as retirees will take part in the championship.
