Kazan topped the rating of Russian cities for gastrotourism

A half of the survey participants has chosen the capital of Tatarstan.

Kazan has become the best city in Russia for a gastronomic tourism. 47% of the survey participants conducted by one of the job search services voted for the capital of Tatarstan. Astrakhan (39%) and Sochi (31%) entered the top 3 of the rating.

The unusual national cuisine in the region has become the main criterion when compiling a rating of cities for gastronomy, it was noted by 57% of respondents, the press office of the service reports.

20% of respondents want to discover local traditions and cuisine. 19% of respondents are interested in national pastries. 11% of Russians are ready to come to the region to meet famous chefs, and 9% of respondents would like to study the unusual local serving of dishes.

Three thousand and two hundred residents over 18 took part in the survey.
