Kazan tops the rating of the city government efficiency

Experts of the APEC and the Higher School of Economics evaluated the results of work on the political-management and socio-economic units.

(KZN.RU, May 22). Kazan took the first place in the rating of government efficiency in urban districts, compiled by experts from the Agency for Political and Economic Communications (APEC) and the Laboratory for Regional Policy Studies of the Higher School of Economics.

All capitals of subjects and other city districts with a population of over 300 thousand people participated in the rating. The situation in the political-administrative and socio-economic units in January-March 2018 was assessed. Kazan scored 0.682 points in the first one and took first place, in the second one 0.592 points and the second place. The grand total is 0.637 points.

For comparison, Tyumen, located on the second place, has a score of 0.666 points and the second place in the political-management unit, 0.571 points and eighth place in the socio-economic, and 0.619 in total. The third place was taken by Rostov-on-Don. It has 0.622 points in the political and administrative unit and takes the third place, socio-economic – 0.559 points and 16th place, and the total result is 0.591 points.

The first-five is closed by Khanty-Mansiysk and Grozny. The last lines of the rating (from 88th to 92nd place) were distributed between Tambov, Omsk, Makhachkala, Petrozavodsk, and Volgograd, reports the newspaper “Vedomosti”.
