The capital city of Tatarstan stayed ahead of Moscow and St. Petersburg.
(KZN.RU, April 3). Kazan entered the top 3 most creative cities of Russia. The capital city of Tatarstan stayed ahead of Moscow and St. Petersburg. At the same time, on some of the indicators of creative assets index Kazan was on the first place.
The creative assets index prepared by PwC and Calvert 22 and summarized the previous year was divided into 5 units.
Each of them reflects the key elements of urban environment which influenced the attractiveness of cities for citizens, opportunities for realisation of their creative potential, as well as aspects connected with urban perception and cultural recognition. For example, the unit «City» includes economic situation, cultural life, urban environment, and other ratings.
All experts studied 20 Russian cities.
Kazan which was behind Moscow and St. Petersburg in total rating stayed ahead of these cities on the basis of several indicators of achievement. So the capital city of Tatarstan was on the first place on the level of educational environment in the unit «City», erudition of the population in the unit «People», media presence of the city in the unit «Brands».
Ekaterinburg, Vladivostok, Novosibirsk, Tyumen, Krasnodar, Kaliningrad and Velikiy Novgorod are among the top 10 of the most creative cities as well.
Rosstat's data, individual Ministries, municipal and regional authorities, statistical compilations and analytical reports of profile associations specialised and widely well-known companies, ratings prepared by Russian and foreign analytical agencies were used for compilation of Index. Also experts applied results of questioning of creative specialists and the interrogation of specially group of independent experts who rated the quality and competitiveness of urban brands, business projects and creative initiatives.
