Tyumen and Salekhard along with the capital of Tatarstan entered the top three of the rating.
Kazan entered the top-3 cities of Russia in terms of management efficiency. The rating was compiled for the third time by the Agency for political and economic communications (APEC).
The rating assessed the current social- political and economic situation in urban districts associated with the activities of municipal authorities. The sampling included 92 cities of Russia with a population of more than 300 thousand people.
According to the research, the top three rating remained unchanged: Tyumen, Kazan and Salekhard. Next are Khanty-Mansiysk, Grozny, Ufa, Rostov-on-Don, Kursk, Kaluga and Saransk. The top ten remained unchanged in comparison with the previous rating, which indicates the formation of a group of cities in the country with the most effective management, the authors of the study note.
The study involved 171 specialists in urban and regional policy, according to the APEC website.
