Kazan became a member of the Steering Committee of the Milan Urban Food Policy Pact

In June, the capital of Tatarstan will host the “Healthy Cities. Healthy food for children” International Forum.

Kazan became a member of the Steering Committee of the Milan Urban Food Policy Pact. The Agreement is a significant innovative urban food strategy in Europe. The first event in the new status will be held in June in the city.

According to the results of the vote, 12 cities joined the Steering Committee in addition to Kazan. Each of the 13 members of the Steering Committee will represent the cities of their geographical area and ensure the implementation of the MUFPP mission for 2021-2023. Kazan became a member of the Steering Committee of the Eurasia and South-West Asia region together with Tel Aviv (Israel).

The Milan Pact is a significant innovative urban food strategy in Europe. It enables the exchange of food policy experiences with other cities worldwide.

The capital of Tatarstan will host the “Healthy Cities. Healthy food for children” International Forum on 1-3 June 2021.

The forum will be held online and offline. One of the key events of the forum will be a round table of mayors, which will be attended by representatives of UN bodies and heads of cities entering the Milan Urban Food Policy Pact. The forum will also host festive events, lectures, master classes, exhibitions, tastings and much more, the Department of International and Inter-Municipal Affairs reports.
