(KZN.RU, February 7). Kazan entered the top 5 most popular tourist destinations in Russia. The rating was created by the analytical agency “TourStat”, based on the results of a tourism data survey in Russian cities for 2017.

Last year, 2.7 million people visited Kazan, including 185 thousand foreign visitors. This number is 10% more than in 2016.

According to the agency, the top 10 tourist cities in Russia also include:

Moscow – 21.6 million tourists (+ 13%), including more than 4.8 million foreign tourists (34%).

St. Petersburg – 7.5 million (+ 9%), including 3.75 million foreign tourists (34%).

Sochi – more than 6 million, including 40 thousand foreign tourists (+ 15%).

Vladivostok – more than 3 million, including more than 600 thousand foreign tourists.

Kazan – 2.7 million (+ 10%), including 185 thousand foreign tourists.

Ekaterinburg – more than 2 million, including more than 200 thousand foreign tourists.

Astrakhan – 2 million.

Nizhny Novgorod - 1.9 million

Sergiev Posad – 1.9 million

Suzdal – more than 1.7 million.
