(KZN.RU, January 17). Kazan became the most popular tourist city in the Volga Federal District. The top-10 is based on data on booking hotel rooms and apartments in 2017.

Tourists searched housing in Kazan for an average of 4 days and paid for it about 3.1 thousand rubles a day.

Nizhny Novgorod and Samara also entered the top-3 most popular cities. Experts believe that this is due to the forthcoming FIFA World Cup-2018. Kazan, Nizhny Novgorod, and Samara will host 6 matches in June and July.

Perm, Ufa, Saratov, Izhevsk, Ulyanovsk, Cheboksary, and Saransk also entered the top-10. According to the experts of the Tvil.ru reservation service, the cheapest hotels are in Cheboksary and Saransk and the most expensive ones are in Nizhny Novgorod.
