Kazan is named one of the most theatrical cities of Russia

The rating includes cities with the best theaters, popular with tourists and citizens.

(KZN.RU, February 25). The capital of Tatarstan entered the top 5 most theatrical cities in Russia. The rating includes cities with the best theaters, popular with tourists and citizens.

So, the list of the most theatrical cities is opened by Moscow, St. Petersburg, Yekaterinburg, Kazan, and Novosibirsk.

The list of the most popular theaters in Kazan includes the Tatar Academic State Opera and Ballet Theater named after M. Jalil, the Tatar State Academic Theater named after G. Kamal, the Kazan Academic Russian Bolshoi Drama Theater named after V. Kachalov, the Kazan Theater of the Young Spectator, the Tatar State Puppet Theater “Ekiyat”, the Youth Theater on Bulak, and others.

The rating is based on an analysis of theater attendance and reviews on the Internet, according to analytical agency TurStat. Experts predict that this year the theater attendance in Russia will grow by 7% to 43 million viewers compared to 40 million last year.

2019 in Russia was declared the Year of the Theater.
