Kazan has been recognized as the best urban district of the RT by the results of the 2019 sanitary-ecological two-month period

<p> (KZN.RU, June 1). Kazan took the first place in the nomination “The Best Urban District” according to the results of the 2019 sanitary-ecological two-month period. Rustam Minnikhanov, the President of the RT, awards to the winners in the Cabinet of Ministers of the RT today. </p> <p> The awarding was held in the framework of summarizing the sanitary-environmental two-month period to clean the territories of settlements of the RT. Alexander Shadrikov, the minister of Ecology and Natural Resources of the RT, reported about this in the Government House. The video conference was held by Rustam Minnikhanov, the President of the RT. Aleksey Pesoshin, the prime minister of the RT took part in the work. </p> <p> Alexander Shadrikov noted that the competition “Best Municipal Education” reaffirmed an effective mechanism for restoring order, which made it possible to activate the work of urban districts. The number of identified and eliminated violations of environmental legislation was taken into account in summing up. It included the elimination of unauthorized waste disposal sites, environmental awareness and conservation measures, the number of residents who joined the actions, and other indicators, reports the press service of the President of the RT. </p> <p> Rustam Minnikhanov handed diplomas and awards to the municipalities – the winners of the sanitary-ecological two-month period 2019. </p> <p> Kazan won the first place in the nomination “The Best Urban District”, Naberezhnye Chelny took the second. The first place in the nomination “The Best Municipal District with the Center, the Status City” was given to Almetyevsk district, the second to Nizhnekamsk district, and the third to Zainsky district. In the category “Municipal Districts with the Center, the Urban-Type Settlement or Village Status” places were distributed as follows: first place to Vysokogorsky district, second o Sabinsky district, third o Alekseevsky district. </p>
